Day One: Welcome to Winvian
Dedicated Guest Assistants will serve you throughout your stay, greeting you upon arrival, collecting your luggage for delivery to your personal cottage and welcoming you with a refreshing drink. Gather with your team in our Boardroom. Equipped with a professional-grade AV system, this light-filled space overlooks our gardens, beautiful in every season from austere winter, to verdant summer. It’s the perfect place to welcome the team and set the tone for collaboration, restoration and celebration of a job well done. After setting intentions, break for a chef-crafted lunch in our convivial Woodlawn Room and recharge for an afternoon meeting before cottage check-in.
Our Cottage Collection distinguishes us from any other resort. Each of our 18 cottages is an architectural gem, with bespoke design that tells a story, injecting a unique sense of play into the Corporate Retreat experience. Retreat guests begin their first evening with our only-at-
Winvian Cottage-Crawl, a traveling cocktail party that offers a chance to explore up to four different cottages, with select drinks and freshly prepared passed canapés. Retreat guests relish the particular details of their personal cottage, though each cottage includes abundant amenities, such as seasonal cottage bikes, outdoor living spaces, steam showers and individual fireplaces. These luxe creature comforts bring many retreat guests back for family vacation or a romantic weekend.
Celebrate day one with a wine pairing dinner in one of our three dining rooms, most located in our historic farmhouse. Each features welcoming fireplaces and selections from local artists and our family collection. Close out the evening with a return to childhood fun, and
indulge in Winvian’s bonfire and s’mores experience. Break the work-life barrier and make lasting connections as you swap stories and laugh under the stars.
Day Two: Go Ahead. Mix Business with Pleasure
Welcome the day with a guided group hike along the White Memorial Little Pond Boardwalk Trail. Return to your cottage to freshen up and sip a cup of coffee from your in-room Nespresso machine before meeting the team in the dining room for a made-to-order breakfast. Perhaps take one of our house-made seasonal breads or pastries with you to your morning meeting in the intimate Gordon Brown House.
Eat lunch on the Seth Bird Patio, with a view of our expansive meadow. Then explore the rolling Litchfield Hills on an e-bike excursion, or visit our award-winning spa for a customized massage, facial, or wellness experience. In summer, our secluded pool makes the perfect place to relax into a chaise, read a book, or even just close your eyes and feel the sun warm your skin as you unwind before an evening mixology class.
Our mixologist excels at accommodating guests’ desires and creating recipes they can show off back at home—from herbaceous and refreshing mocktails, to classic cocktails incorporating local ingredients for a Winvian twist. Mixology brings the team together in the
spirit of creativity.
After another dinner showcasing The Restaurant’s five-diamond cuisine and thoughtful wine pairings, retreat guests can wind down in Maggie’s Tavern, the familial heart of the estate, with shuffleboard, boardgames, or lively conversation by the crackling fire.
Day Three: Farewell, New Friends. Until We Meet Again
Rise early enough to greet the day and savor some leisure time in your cottage. Then hop on one of our signature Cottage Bikes and wind along the path to the Gordon Brown House for a wellness experience. Select immersive sound bath therapy, restorative yoga, or a centering
meditation class, and experience a sense of fulfillment and connection with your team.
Choose a delicious breakfast that’s sweet, savory, or a perfect combination of both, then head to the Boardroom for your final onsite meeting. Retreat guests tell us these meetings shift in tone as the Winvian experience takes effect. Shoulders relax, and conversation feels authentic and generative, preparing you to take on whatever lies ahead for your enterprise— exploring ideas, embarking on new projects, or simply feeling a sense of gratitude for the opportunity to do good work with good people.
Before we say farewell, you may wish to visit Heather’s Boutique for a memento of your stay, or find a quiet spot to linger over a last warm beverage. Chef Eddy will prepare a boxed lunch for each guest, keeping you nourished during your travel back home.

What type of corporate groups can you accommodate?
Our retreats serve a wide range of participants, including c-suite, executive and leadership teams, remote and wellness groups. We also curate reward and incentive-based gatherings. Please reach out to discuss your specific needs.
Can menus be altered for dietary differences?
With pleasure. During the planning process, we will gather detailed information on the dietary needs and preferences of your group. We take especial care with food allergies, and delight in curating a menu that exceeds all expectations.
What steps do you take to ensure privacy for groups onsite?
Winvian’s utterly private location sets us apart, even from other luxury resorts. Our gated estate grants access exclusively to guests with reservations. We do not disclose visitor information or reference groups in promotional materials. Signage can be minimal to non-existent, depending on the desires of your group. A true sanctuary, Winvian offers unparalleled discretion.
