Here at Winvian Farm, we’re always very honored to get a shout-out (or three) via some high-profile press. Today we’d like to pass along a few recent mentions—make that two mentions and one all-out profile!

Winvian Farm in Town & Country

This past February, Town & Country put our luxurious resort in the Litchfield Hills in the spotlight. Hannah Seligson’s article is a great read on one of only two Relais & Chateaux properties in all of Connecticut. The piece takes the form of a Q&A with our Winvian Farm owner, Maggie Smith, who provides an in-depth lowdown on the property and the wide range of guests we welcome all year round.

Among Maggie’s insights in Town & Country are a mention of one of Winvian Farm’s most distinctive accommodations (Beaver Lodge, designed as a luxed-up New England trapper’s cottage); lesser-known guest perks such as the pair of bicycles provided for each cottage and the kayaks and canoes available for paddles out on Bantam Lake; and the backstory of how Winvian Farm landed its R&C status.

In April, meanwhile, Cosmopolitan included Winvian Farm in its roundup of “The Most Luxurious Staycation Destinations in Every State.” In the piece, Bethany Biron gives our Litchfield Hills haven the honors for Connecticut, calling out our cottages, spa, farm-to-fork cuisine, and outdoor activities as prime ingredients for a “self-care weekend.”

Finally, a February feature in Design Milk focused on travel in the Constitution State recommended Winvian Farm for one-of-a-kind accommodations in our “absolutely jaw-dropping luxury cottages.” Keshia Badalge describes the aesthetic as a “balance of rustic meets modern meets kitschy out of this world.” A few of the cottages feature in the photos, and the piece especially focuses on our 890-square-foot Helicopter accommodations, which give you a plush pad anchored by a restored 1968 Coast Guard chopper—complete with a flat-screen TV and a woodstove!
