Maggie’s Tavern Opening at Winvian Farm

The farm-to-table AAA Five Diamond cuisine and exquisite ambience our Restaurant at Winvian Farm offer are truly beloved by our guests. Now, we’re happy to announce we’ve expanded the dining choices at our resort to include a more casual option: Maggie’s Tavern!

We can’t wait to formally open the doors of this brand-new establishment, named for Winvian Farm’s proprietor, Maggie Smith—and we won’t have to wait much longer. Mark your calendar: Maggie’s Tavern is opening April 27th!

Introducing Maggie’s Tavern at Winvian Farm

Maggie’s Tavern will offer an inviting new option for attending to your appetite on our gorgeous Litchfield Hills property. We’ve transformed our Games room to create this warm and friendly casual-dining space, which will also offer additional seating in the adjoining Solarium.

You’ll be able to expect the same farm-to-fork philosophy and top-of-the-line presentation for which The Restaurant at Winvian Farm is renowned. Chef Chris Eddy and his culinary team will also be supplying creative and vibrant dishes for Maggie’s Tavern, drawing as at the Restaurant from our Winvian Farm gardens and greenhouse for many of the fresh ingredients. We’re excited to unveil the Tavern’s heavenly burger, plus charcuterie and local cheeses, sandwiches, pastas, soups, fresh salads, and more.

Cocktails are going to be a prime focus at Maggie’s Tavern, with some fabulous mixology on display courtesy of bartender Christina Kamenos. You can look forward to a regularly changing seasonal lineup of specialty mixed drinks, with herbs from the Winvian Farm gardens incorporated.

Maggie’s Tavern will provide an intimate and relaxing place for light snacks and libations, not to mention pre-dinner drinks ahead of a meal at the Restaurant or dessert on the heels of one. To begin with, we’ll be serving lunch from noon until 4 PM Wednesday through Sunday, with house guests also able to lunch here Monday and Tuesday from noon until 1:30 PM.

Eventually, we’ll expand Maggie’s Tavern offerings to include casual dinner service. Until then, house guests at Winvian Farm can savor dishes from the nightly Restaurant dinner menu in the Tavern, at the bar, or in the Solarium.

Get Ready to Experience Maggie’s Tavern at Winvian Farm

We expect Maggie’s Tavern—which will offer about 20 seats—to be quite the popular hangout, and likely frequently booked for private events. This new casual-dining spot only ups the ante of all of our attractive amenities for weddings and other special soirees. Outside guests will be welcome, but reservations are required (860-393-3004).
